Sheriff Sale – by virtue of a writ of Venditioni exponus, issued from the Circuit Court of Sevier County and to me directed, I shall proceed to sale to the highest bidder, for cash at the door of the Courthouse in Sevierville, on Monday the 11th day of March next, 1844, all the title, interest and claim that M C Rogers has, of, in and to four tract of land lying in Sevier County, one of said tracts contains thirty-one acres, one other one hundred acres, one twenty-five acres and one seventy-five acres, more or less, lying in the tenth civil district of said county. Also one town lot in the town of Sevierville, on the South side of Main Street and adjoining the lot on which the Academy stands. Levied on to satisfy a judgment and cost, that Elizabeth Montgomery recovered against the said Rogers by attachment on the 25th of March, 1842. - J Howard, Sheriff of Sevier County Jan. 24, 1834
