Died on the 11th October, in Sevierville, Tenn., after an illness of one month and thirteen days, John W Bell, Esq., aged 38 years, 1 month and 13 days. He was the son of Dr. Jos. E Bell, of Greene county. At a period when his talents began to attract the respect of all and his profession, that of the law, to remunerate long hours of toil and study, his literary and scientific attainment, to point to renown and his piety and religion to shed a luster of dazzling purity, Alas! He was by no means unwillingly to leave the vanities of earth, having as he professed, an unshaken confidence in his acceptance with Christ and an assurance of his last happiness. He has left many friends and relatives to mourn their untimely loss.
