The first queries system for the TNGenWeb project was in place from approximately July, 1996, to December, 1998. Queries were e-mailed to the site host(esse)s, who placed them on-line in plain HTML pages. There was no opportunity to post responses as there is now.

Queries posted from August, 1996, to early 2000, are now available on this Web site for reference. There is a gap in 1999.
Note that most of the e-mail addresses are probably invalid by now. If you can update any of them, please contact the Webmistress (link in Menu).

I am looking for the marriage of Henry ESLINGER/ASLINGER and Kisiah _____. I suspect they married in Sevier County some number of years before the courthouse burned in 1856. Henry sold some property in Sevier Co. in 1866 and his family appeared in the 1870 Sevier Co. census. Henry appeared alone in the 1850 Greene Co. census but the ages of some of his children suggest an earlier marriage date.

Thomas died 1822 in Washington, Co., MO and Mary died in Crawford Co., MO in 1858. Thomas, John and Evan DOBKINS received E. TN Land Grants on Dunn's Creek in Sevier Co. in 1810.
